Alessandro Giupponi was born in 2000 in Feltre, Italy.
He received his Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Engineering in September 2022 and his Master Degree in Bioengineering in September 2024, both from University of Padova, Italy.
His Master thesis, under the supervision of Marco Castellaro, concerned the application of Denoising Diffusion Probabilistic Models to brain Magnetic Resonance images for the semantic segmentation of the Choroid Plexus.
He is currently a PhD student in Bioengineering (XL cicle) under the supervision of Marco Castellaro and the co-supervision of Prof. Mattia Veronese.
His main scientific interest regards the application of deep learning algorithms and generative AI for the analysis and study of various brain MRI modalities, as well as the specific interaction between the heart and the brain. Currently, his work is focused on using Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) for the analysis of Arterial Spin Labeling (ASL) images and the estimation of parameters that characterize cerebral perfusion.
