Hello, World!

⏳ 1 min

Let us introduce ourselves.

We are a group of engineers based at the Department of Information Engineering, University of Padova, focused on developing imaging biomarkers for use in clinical research and practice across brain disorders.

By leveraging imaging technologies such as Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), we build quantitative measures of brain physiology—including cerebral blood flow, metabolism, brain barrier function, and brain fluid dynamics—as well as molecular targets for imaging neuroreceptor systems or immune brain response.

Our project portfolio includes cross-sectional studies (patients vs. controls), longitudinal studies (tracking disease progression over time), and interventional studies (first-in-human and/or first-in-patient trials). We employ a wide range of methods, including kinetic modelling, imaging transcriptomics, normative modelling, and, of course, artificial intelligence—because who doesn’t these days.

We are deeply passionate about neuroscience and strive to contribute to unveil the secrets ofthe human brain. Sometimes we can look a bit nerd, but we are proud to be BRAINgineers!
